As I make my rounds through pages I visit on a daily basis, I found some references to a company named, Smorty, which will pay a blog owner to post thoughts and opinions about products or services their advertisers offer. Smorty’s advertise on blogs service can help supplement an income for most bloggers who probably do not really make any money off pay-per-click ads in the first place.

I can guarantee that a service such as Smorty can affect the quality and credibility of a blog if all posts are advertiser based. On the upside, if a blogger were to find equilibrium between quality content and sponsored content, they can still make sensible amount of money on a monthly basis while not pushing away past, present and future readers.Personally, I think this a great service because it can mean extra cash in my pocket while giving my opinion about a product or service that I do not have to specifically endorse or otherwise use on a regular basis. I will follow my own rules and not overkill my blog with sponsored reading, but I would like to help pay for some bandwidth costs.
